a little about me
Advocated the use of GNU / Linux since 1996. Involved professionally with GNU / Linux since 1998. Competence in administration, developing, training and providing consolidated solutions using the GNU / Linux Operating System.
Worked as an independent Gnu /Linux Consultant for all of that time, and was involved in a number of commercial activities under the Open Source banner ranging from basic deployment, advanced server configurations and planning the requisite setups, web applications, end user systems, systems level programming, device drivers to embedded devices including but not exclusive to handheld devices.
Started offering commercial grade Linux services to companies looking to make use of the benefits of Open Source (GNU/Linux) quite early on, since about 1998 to be precise. Initially catered to essentially Mumbai (Indian) based clientèle.
I have since moved on and am now based in Sydney, Australia.
Most Interesting Project.......
Worked on an embedded system based losely around OSS Technology. It was at a time when embedded was just getting noticed and companies were wary of walking this "open source, freedom" concept. The Idea was revolutionary that time, the development was even more fun, meeting some of the people involved was great. Unfortunately, commerical pressures ensured this never really took off. But Id still take on a project like this anyday.Read the article here
