Professional Background

A short introduction,

Functioning as an independent consultant in IT, I focus exclusively on GNU / Linux and Open Source Technologies. I believe there is a strong need for the Open Culture in the Industry.

Having worked on my own for all this time, I've come to appreciate the need for strong business models. The 'Holy Grail' of sorts for the future is really about how can we adopt this culture into our professional work lives. The fun is just beginning. A change is upon us.

In the 12 years of providing consolidated Linux solutions I have had to use innovative business development methods, tried, failed and overcame the perceived risk of Linux solutions for enterprises, rather successfully I would like to think, but I've been wrong before.

I then learned skills in market research, finance and all the accompanying skills every entrepreneur needs, ultimately built a team of consulting professionals and always looking to expand that list. Its all part of what I believe is part of the new and upcoming business models.
