Smooth Compiz Settings

Playing around with compiz. I got to thinking that the effects and timings are a bit off. Each system is different of course, but I got to wondering, can I start to edit the settings and make it all appear a bit smoother. Right now things are a bit too fast or two slow, giving the whole experience an unfinished feeling. I wanted one that fitted me.
